Gail-River Kayak-Area
Because of its naturalness, the Gail is one of the most charming rivers in the Alpine region. From Maria Luggau you can start kayaking fun - various sections of different levels of difficulty make kayakers' hearts beat faster. A signage system shows you the most important information for kayaking on the Gail, up to the Alpencamp exit point.
And it was also the young wild folding boat drivers in the early 60s who came to Kötschach-Mauthen with tent and boat to set up their base camp on the Gail for their then breakneck tours. The trend towards whitewater sports at the time was one of the reasons that the Alpencamp came into being.

A wild river like the Gail is of course not only suitable for a wide variety of rafting tours and kayaking tours for young and old.
A number of other trend sports such as canyoning, megadive, canoeing tours, hydrospeed, acapulco jumping and much more, we offer in the alpine camp in cooperation with our long-term partner "Fit & Fun Outdoor".
